Anyone evr have to have an HDMI port replaced?

I've been having trouble getting video to pass through my Pioneer Elite vsx80txv, so while I was trying different things today, Mr Rocket Scientist here bent 3 pins in the port to my Oppo 981.

So has anyone had to replace a port, and what can I expect to get soaked for on it's replacement? I really like the Oppo, but if we're talking much more than 50 or 75 bucks, it's Blu Ray time.

And on even better news, the Phillips upconverter I bought last month for the upstairs plasma took a dump too. :mad: Good thing it came form Costco.

And all this still probably won't fix the video pass through issue.:rolleyes:

    Oppo has a flat rate for out of warranty repairs. Last I knew it was $57 for the 981. That includes return shipping to you.

    If that is the case, I'm glad I own an Oppo. It's nice to know (just like Polk) that problems can be replaced for significantly less than the cost of a new player.

    My BDP-S1 HDMI stopped working one day - sent it in for repair and 3 weeks later I got it back. They replaced the entire board. Luckily it was in warranty, otherwise it would have been cheaper to buy a new one.
