What's a good choice in a used 2 or 3 channel amp that can push about 250 watts RMS a channel at 8 ohms? I know the big Polk mains aren't 8 ohm speaks. I also see where the amp needs to be common ground if I use the interconnect cable. Any thoughts on Carver,B&K, Ashly FET's, Monster, Adcom,Hafler and others?

Thanks for the quick replies, after posting here I realized I might have put this in the wrong section, if I need to move it I don't know how to do that, lol. I should have added I wanted to keep the price under $500.00. I've heard good things on that certain Adcom model:)

I am using the Adcom 555II and it works great. Adcom has always been one of the best medium priced high end amps in the business. You can't beat these relics, and they are always available on ebay or polk classifieds.

+1for the Adcom 555II which has plenty power for your SRS2's. Also the amp is mine. Maybe we can work out a deal.

    Carver TFM-45

The TFM25 works well too. I think it is 250wpc at 8ohms. The 45 is 375@wpc.
