No sound was coming out of the left channel of my Rotel RB-1080. Called up Rotel, the technical CS advise me to open it up and check the fuse of the left channel. He was right the fuse blew, but when I check the fuse, it did not have any amp rating written on it. the only thing written on it was "T8L 250V" .
I went to Radioshack but they couldn't help me because they weren't familiar with the fuse rating.

Can anybody advise me the equivalent fuse amp rating for a T8L 250V fuse?

Thanks

    Hi Mr. Tomasito,
I am facing exactly the same issue like you did. So did you solve the problem? how about the amp of the fuse.
    Any advise?
    Tks.

    Hello,
In all likelihood it is an 8 ampere fuse and since it is an output protection fuse I would imagine it is a fast-blow type. But, you should definitely check with Rotel before using a replacement. There may be another descriptive number found on the other metal cap of the fuse, "160" for example which would provide a series identification. But it would be best to check with Rotel.
    Regards, Ken

Necrothread... Working on one amp... has two fuses - one clearly marked 6.3A 250V, the other one on the output is marked as T8L 250V. Same fuse on all each of 7 channels, no idea what it is.

Just to add, for those who care. T8 fuses are are "T" - time delayed (i.e. slow-blow), 8 is 8-amps, don't know what L stands for. Usually 8-amp slow-blow are marked T8A.
