Does anybody have experience with these two amps? A local dealer has each of them for <$300 and I'm trying to decide which one to go with.
Thanks in advance,
Thanks in advance,

I just saw that you are in Pittsburgh. You looking at the dealer in Ross TWP called Vintage HIFI? www.vintagehifishop.com
I have bought some stuff off of him in the past. Good guy to deal with. You will not be unhappy dealing with him.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t -
Yeah I bought my reciever off of him not too long ago. He's got some good stuff there, including the SRS's that everybody's been posting about lately.~Matt

Thanks in advance,
I am using the AV-705 and love it. Not familiar with 505 but would assume the basic architecture is the same with less power (80 vs 125 ??). I do like the Power Steering feature that gives you half again the power to any channel that needs it. Nice touch.
I've owned Adcom amps in the past but not a 6000 so maybe someone else could jump in on that. I'm not a real fan of amps with different power for different channel. I believe the Adcom is 3 X 100 plus 2 X 60 but that's just a quick of mine. I'm sure in the real world it's not a big deal.
Sorry I can't be more help.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p

Thanks Marty,
I do wish he had a 705 available because I've read good things about that. I'm hoping that the 505 is indeed from the same mold. I can't find any spec on it that tells me whether or not it'll handle 4ohm loads though. My Monitor5's are 4ohm so I'm a little concerned about that.
We'll see what happens.~Matt
