Dsw microPro 1000 or DswPro 600 subwoofer
I'm looking for a subwoofer that is exceptionally musical, I don't need a sub that will "Rattle the windows in HT".
I have LSI 15's Bi-amped with 400wpc, they have very nice bass but I'm looking for a little more detail in the lower end.
I've been considering the Polk MicroPro 1000 that I can get at the Egg for $400 or the Polk DSWPRO 600 which I've found for around $350.
My budget is less than $1000 so any suggestions would be welcomed.
I know you Guy's and Gal's will come up with some good ideas.
Remember: TIGHT, DETAILED, MUSICAL, INEXPENSIVE......
Thanks
Jimmy

Try something like this Sub.

For music I'd go sealed. The Epik Dragon is a 18" sealed sub with great review and in your $1000 budget.

If it's only between the Micropro 1000 and DSW 600 I'd go with the sealed Micropro1000. Nice punchy bass but it doesn't have alot of output. -
These B&W subs may work also.

These are all excellent suggestions, exactly the info I was hoping for.
Does anyone know if Front firing or down firing would be better, I'm betting the front firing would be more to my liking.
Keep the suggestions coming.
Thanks

The Ryhtmik F12 SE looks like a nice sub with all the characteristics I'm looking for, Does anyone know where I can find this at a discount?

The link I provided is the only place to get them unless you want to build your own.

I have been watching those (there are 6 now) on Ebay myself. With shipping it would come out be 360ish for me. Price ALMOST seems to good to be true...Jimmy, let us know if you pull the trigger on this one. -

I was ready to buy the DSWPRO 600 but after reading other threads here I'm not sure this is the sub I'm looking for. It certainly is a very good price for a new sub.
If you pick it up, let me know how you like it.
