Hello all. I just received some Montior 10A's which I bought by eBay. The one that works, is just great. The other: midrange drivers and passive resonator are inert ... silent.

I've taken it to a local speaker guy who says the drivers are damaged & need replacing; but -- here's my newbie question -- can Polk still provide these??

Call Polk on Monday and ask them. You can take the frozen drivers out and see what the model numbers on the back are.

I'd probably leave the passive alone.

    Welcome to Club Polk.

The fleabay XO upgrade may be a some improvement over the original components but you can do much better without spending a fortune. There is much good info here on the forums regarding XO upgrades.

I hope you get those 10A's singing soon.
    Enjoy
    Stan

I would bet that has 6500s for the 6.5s If so I have some mint ones The new ones 6503s will not sound the same. it is a one fits all. Some consider the 6500 to be the best sounding 6.5. Who knows??. The 6500s were used from the late 70s through 83 Look at the back of the driver. keith
