my mother has had cancer 5 TIMES! No smoking/drinking/out to much in the sun... no risk factors whatsoever. I attribute that to my grandfather being a 4 pack a day lucky strike guy until the day he died, at the age of 87 in a car wreck.

Great story. If only more people would come to the realization that the important things in life are not about them but about caring for and sharing with others it would be a much better place.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Good on Pixar. It's good to know that there are still some good people in the world. That's truly a touching story.

Cancer is a nasty thing...I have a 10 year old nephew that has an extremely rare form of cancer in his throat. It's in between his throat and esophagus, and due to that, is very hard to operate on.

He was diagnosed with it when he was 7, and has undergone treatment since then.

About 6 months ago, he underwent surgery for it. He was only given about a 10% chance of surviving the surgery, and thank God, he came through it.

They still aren't completely sure that they got all of it, but it's looking good so far. He's going to be on treatment for it for the rest of his life either way, but at least he's going to have a life now.

A lot of that is due to the Ronald McDonald house, and the wonderful charities surrounding it. My family is far from wealthy, and he owes his life to a lot of those organizations. That's why I always donate to cancer charities, and numerous other charities. Like I said, I'm far from wealthy, but I believe in humanity. Donating your spare change to the cancer charities truly can help change someones life.

Like I said, good for Pixar. They made that little girls day, and helped make her passing a little more easy to deal with. They're one of the few good companies left. I've got a newfound respect for them.
