Both should do fine. The RTI a5's are very efficient speakers.

+1 on Leroy's suggestion. Both will work fine, but either way you may want to add an external amp to really make the 5's sing. Only problem with that is the 607 doesn't have pre-outs for adding an external amp, whereas the Marantz does. If adding an amp is in your budget/future you may want to lean towards the Marantz or step up in the Onkyo class with the TX SR706. The 706 has a bigger price tag though, so keep that in mind. Good luck and welcome to Club Polk.HT Rig

if your plannin on staying with the a5's then go buy the onkyo on ebay, I did , its a great receiver for movies and music. The bass in movies and music will please you. There's alot of new features in there to ,plus its just out so you know its got more extras than the marantz, but if you love love love music stick with the marantz if you have that audiophile ear

thanks to all, for your quick answers,
I read the manual of Marantz SR 5003 and say that i can biamplification with the canal surround. I notice any improvement with this, or would be better biamplificar with an amplifier... -
I just upgraded from the a5's.
They will make you proud by adding a little extra dose of power. They were nice and strong when I added a emotiva xpa-2. They mellow out a bit when they break it. of course like any "upgrade" it's when you are ready.

I'm looking for a receiver similar to you...I highly recommend getting one with pre-outs, because you will need the capability of a separate amplifer. You may not need it now with the A5s, but if you do upgrade speakers or need more power in the future, you will not only need to upgrade the speakers but the receiver as well. Getting a receiver with pre-outs leaves you more "future-proof."
I am in the same situation as you...looking to upgrade my receiver to one with pre-outs. Here are the options I'm considering
Marantz SR5003 or higher
Onkyo SR-706, SR-705 or higher
Pioneer VSX-01TXH or higher
Denon AVR-988, AVR-989, 2808CI, 2909CI or higher -
I recently bought a used Pioneer Elite reciever and replaced the Yamaha RX-V861 I had. I love the way the pioneer sounds and it has loads of power. I can definatley recommend Pioneer and the RTIA5's.

a) Biamplification:
1. Biamplification with the same receiver (using the canal surround).
2. Biamplification with a new amplifier.
b) Bi-wired.
What is the question?
I don´t know if the biamplification with the same receiver is good or no? -
