they are now MINE! lol... they are much closer to home and I can get eyes on them...
I can also go get them as soon as Saturday:)

...Thanks Doug. $1600 is way low but if he comes to carry them out as-is that would be fine I guess. I cannot lift them at all due to back surgery. Tell him they're actually located in use as pictured at 49740 Michigan zip code. Can you refer him to www.mapquest.com for driving time so he can decide? We can certainly arrange audition and sale this weekend as he wishes. We'll CC him on this email to get the ball rolling

I just popped off the crossover plate and the terminal cover... It appears there has not been much upgrading going on, except the SDA channel has been bypassed and run directly to the other mid drivers and there appears to be a mod made to the crossover but I am not certain what it is... does anyone have pics of an unmodded crossover that I can take a look at?
With as tired as I was from a 8 hr drive getting there, I was in a hurry to get them in the truck and back home...

thanks man... could I get a peek at the other side? I think he added something opposite the yellow cap is near the forward edge of the board... I restored the sda connectings and these monsters opened up BIGGG TIME. I actually cried. I am glad that you guys restored my love of music. With the big guys here I finally feel whole again. I know it sounds strange to say that, but having to give them up the way I did, and knowing their fate.... sorry guys, but I have not really slept peacefully since these went up on A'gon. Now I can rest...

I don't have a picture of the other side but IIRC there were no components soldered in.

I will end up doing some cosmetics, and so far(don't shoot me) I like the SL3000's better than the 198's...
