flat out awesome!!!
of course it's been raining like hell here so it's been languishing in my garage for the last week or so. I drive it only for pleasure.
It's currently got a Saleen suspension (shocks, springs, front and rear sway bar upgrade) along with a Watts Link for the rear axle. this does wonders for the car's handling in the turns and bumps.
also has 3.73 gears, a cold air intake and an 89 octane tune.
it's just fast enough to get me in trouble when the need arises.Living Room 2 Channel -

here's an older pic pre suspension mods. the suspension mods only make sit a little less than an inch lower, but it does make a difference aesthetically (and performance wise )Living Room 2 Channel -

What year is it? It looks nice.
Did you happen to see the Car and Driver artical that has the Mustang, Camaro and the Challenger head to head? Guess which one won the shootout?Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t -

2007
I saw that shoot out, I couldnt help but notice that every thing they improved in the new mustang I added as a modification in my 07 (particularly suspension, cold air kit, and gears) was kind of funny.. This makes sense, as it addressed (at least my opinion) what was the cars biggest flaws.
I can easily see how, despite the power disadvanatage, it helped it win the day. this car handles like a dream for what some consider a muscle or pony car, with a solid axle no less. (and if it bothers you that much, add the Watts link.....pricey? yep, worth it? hell yep. it basically takes your rear axle driven car and makes you forget you have an axle when you drive it)
it's just as fun in the twisties as it is in the straights or cruising on the highway.
not to mention its roomy enough for me, and at 350lbs and a back profile that resembles a bear (per George Grand at least ), thats really saying something about how comfy and roomy the car is.
if you think my Stang is nice, do a search for Polkthug's. he has an 05 or 06 that I swear has everything but Impulse engines and photon torpedo launchers.Living Room 2 Channel -

Is it a manual or automatic? And how would the 'stang compare to the Nissan 350z, Dodge Charger, etc.??polkaudio RT35 Bookshelves

it's a manual.
stock for stock the Stang will beat a 350Z in the straights, but the 350 rules in the twisties. make no mistake, the 350 (and the new 370) are sweet rides and I might have bought one (I looked at them first) but the seats just didnt work for me. *note, the new 370 might be faster in the straight too....I haven't looked at that car up close but on paper it is better in every way than the 350. looks like a little monster.
The Charger is a nice car, but very little sports car quotient. it's a heavy beast and the RT (with the 5.7) with 365 hp is slower than the stang with 300 because of this weight difference. it pushes well over 4000 lbs. seems like a SWEET cruising car though. it's handles well enough for it's weight. The Challenger falls into this category too but looks sweet as all hell
The Mustang stock is nice, but it was like a blank canvas for me. it is built to be relatively inexpensive so it has some weaknesses of course. the aftermarket for this car borders on the insane. performance, appearance, suspension, you name it, it's out there. thats one of h biggest selling points on this car, you can make it yours relatively easy......from the subtle to the ridiculously outlandishLiving Room 2 Channel -
