edited July 2009 in For Sale (FS) Classifieds
hey guys,

Working up a new setup now and I have a few things to go.

The first is a DSWPRO 400 subwoofer. Black of course, I got this about a year ago and it has served me faithfully ever since. Just got an SVS pb12 Ultra tho...ha. It is in extremely good condition excluding one knick on a top side. Not sure what happened, it was completely out of the way of everything and sheltered, but who knows now. Other than that this thing really kicks and is loyal sub. I think 250 is a fair price for this, let me know if anyone is interested!

The next item is a brand new black RM20 5 speaker surround system. Got it for 499 at the time, now the price is down to 399 on amazon. Ideally someone would want this for 350. It is brand new, in the box, never opened.

Thanks for listening all, and if I can do anything (like a picture of the knick) let me know. I won't be able to take it till Saturday or so, but would be happy to.

Enjoy,

Mark

MDK, I have good news. I am interested in your Polk RM20 set. I found this thread through google search and had to sign up to the forum to contact you. However, the forum wants me to have 10 posts before PM'ing you. Please PM me an email address so we can begin to work out a deal.

    Thanks much,

    Chris M.

The rm20 set is spoken for but the dswpro400 is still available if anyone wants it!

I am also selling my yamaha rx-v659 for 300, a year and a half old and mint condition, no scratches or anything. It has pre-outs for all those polky's who love external amps...I will set up a new post for it soon but for now it will reside here!

It might be best to ask somebody's advice on here, or even your own. Have you had people ship you things in canada before? What was the process to finding out how it was done/ how much it would cost? I am inclined to say that if you pay shipping costs I will ship it wherever you would like! As to the box size and all it is 13.8 x 13.8 x 14.5 inches and about 35 pounds. My zip code is 18940 if it would help you calculate?

    Thank you!

    SivaNevets,

Shipping to canada, at a complete guess, would be 75. I went here http://ircalc.usps.gov/default.aspx?Mode=Intl_Single&CID=10054 and typed in 35 pounds and that would get you the sub in 10 days ish. Now somebody on here probably knows a better way, but thats an estimate? Sorry thats all I could do bud I will keep looking though!!

UPS shipping calculator appears to be $43.41 USD which i think its acceptable to me since its used item if marked as a gift will avoid the custom fees.
if you can post a picture of it with top scratch would be great.

and what is a good method of payment that works for both of us?
ill let you know the latest tomorrow. :D

Ah well he is taking a bit too long, however I will post the pictures of the subwoofer tonight.

In terms of the yamaha rx-v659 it has been claimed as well. Just the subwoofer left!

Ok so I just tried to upload the pictures on both internet explorer and Firefox and they keep giving me a "fatal error." Anyone have an recommendations? As a temporary fix throw me your email in a pm and I will email them to you, I know that works at least. I will also put them in my showcase so you see them there. It's called "Piece by Piece."

It is about 1 mm deep at its extreme, if not less. I would say it is the equivalent of someone taking an exacto knife and taking off a sliver? To answer your question it is the paint an i believe the tiniest bit of mdf. Not sure how it happened, either. I have pampered this thing and had it under furniture its whole life, devoid of contact with anything.

I liked it alot, actually. I recently nabbed a svs pb12 ultra for a good price, and have been listening to it with my old rm95 system, haha. I have rti a7's and fxi a4's now, but wanted to see what a truly over-"subed" system would sound like. About mid movie, a switched to my dswpro 400 and I was pleasantly surprised at how it sounded. It was stronger than the system, but enough to make it impressive, not overbearing like the svs. I would definitely say that the dsw line does great for itself, and if your budget is not in the svs range it would make a great alternative. I had it in a 26x30 ish room too, so id say she did well.

I just wanted something with a small footprint without breaking the bank. I considered a refurb'd micropro 1k which can be had for very cheap but thought maybe I'd hear what people had to say about the regular dsw series.
