Ok, I am finally taking apart my remaining left channel, other than the drivers and tweeters, is there anything else I should remove from the speaker.

I was the person who lost the right channel thanks to a crazed ex. The right was taken by a hazmat team, so who knows where it went. She also damged the cover and the bottom of the speaker. So instead of trashing the speaker I thought I would pull anything someone could use before the cabinet goes to the trash.

Because he lost his right channel in a set of unfortunately circumstances. Easier to part out the remaining one and use that cash towards another set of speakers than try to find a single right.

Eliminator- pull out the crossover networks, too.

Thanks Noah. Also I had the speaker fired up before I started taking the drivers and tweeters, sounded ok, for only a left channel. My question Noah is when I pushed on the passive radiator (I hope that is what you called it) The SDA driver did not move. The others moved very freely. Is there a way to check the tweeters?

Chances are, that SDA driver had the magnet shift and is locked up. Both of the SDA drivers on my pair were locked when I bought them. Testing by playing music isn't going to help, because there's no opposite channel to drive the SDA driver. Go ahead and carefully push evenly on the cone to see if it moves freely. If it's bad, only thing you can do with it is chuck it, or give it to someone here who might be expirementing with realigning the magnets/voicecoils.

As for the tweeters, just put some music on and put your ear next to each. Since you don't have a 2nd speaker to feed the SDA tweeter, it'll be dead. But once you see that the stereo one works, pull that, and hook the SDA tweeter in that spot. The tweeters should play clear, without distortion, through very high levels. Just be careful not to go too high or you may let out the magic smoke.
