Crossover Settings

Hello all,
Wondering if someone could help me with my crossover settings for my receiver/speaker set-up? there are a lot of settings in the manual set-up section of my receiver and i bet i could make my HT sound a little better but i'm not quite sure where to set everything..
if anyone could give me some pointers that would be awesome! here's a quick rundown of what i've got:
receiver - yamaha rx-v361
center - polk csi-a4
fronts and surrounds - polk rti-a1
subwoofer - polk psw-10
these are the settings available,
under the speaker settings there is a crossover setting, right now it's at 100Hz.
then there is a "center geq" which has all kinds of frequency settings.
then there is an lfe level with some settings for sp lfe and hp lfe which both are set at 0.
then there is something for dynamic range with settings for sp and hp min, std, or max. right now they are both at max.
also, where should i have the low pass set on the back of my sub?
i'm not really sure where i should have all this set and i'm hoping someone has a similar set-up and could let me know.
thanks in advance people!!

low pass on sub should be turned all the way up and you'll be using your reciever as a cross over, i'd say play with the cross over settings to see what sounds best to you, usually it's set at 80hz. On my yamaha i left those settings on max and left the center eq alone. I'm a noob in that area so am curious to hear the answers to those questions.

A crossover of 100hz is not unreasonable for those speakers and sub. The LFE level would be to boost your sub, which you probably don't need. The dynamic range set to Max should be fine, but you could experiment with Standard, which might give you an easier time of hearing dialog.
As to your low pass on the sub, set it to it's highest setting to get it out of the way. You are having the receiver control it and you don't want to double filter.
I'm not sure what the "center geq" is...Speakers: Polk LSi15

ok i just turned the low pass all the way up, and went through my receivers crossover from 40Hz to up to 200Hz and now i'm trying to decide 80, 90 or 100Hz while listening to some music. i'm probably gonna leave it at 80 for now to see what i think.
thanks for the tip on the low pass on the sub. i had no idea, i had it set in the middle lol.Receiver: Yamaha RX-V863

u can't go lower then 60hz with the crossover cause ur a1's frequency response is 60-26,000 so if it were lower then you'd have a missing sound

i'd only consider 60-100

yea when i set it on 40Hz it didn't sound right so i ruled that setting out pretty quick.Receiver: Yamaha RX-V863
