LSI25 Which new Amplifier to get?

I just purchased a pair of LSI 25's and have paired it up with an Onkyo SR-706. The system works but of course I know I could get vastly better sound out of the speakers with a separate amplifier - much higher wattage. I know I made a mistake this way but I didn't realize how power needy these speakers are. With my Klipsch RF7's, you could run them with a clock radio and the sound would be beautiful.

I want to purchase a New amplifier over 200 watts - 2 or 3 channel but don't want to break the bank. I'd like to spead $500 or less.

Emotiva has an amplifier XPA3 - 3 channel - 300 to 400 watts per channel that they are offering for $599. Are there any other options at or below this price range for a similar or slightly lower wattage model? I'm seeing a lot of options in the used market for amp's that are 10 or 20 years old but I'd rather buy new. I appreciate the help Thank you

First, Welcome to the forum, I'm a Newbie too but have learned alot since joining.

The LSI's need a good power source, so you should be looking for 300+wpc@4ohms to power the LSI's to thier full potential. The Emotiva would be an excellent choice and you'd be able to power a center channel also, and let the Onkyo power the Rears. I have no personal expierience with the Adcom but the GFA-555 and GFA-555II seem to be very popular and highly regarded amps.

I have an Emotiva XPA-5 powering the LSI-15's and they sound absolutly fantastic.
I'm currently comparing the Emotiva to a Sunfire Cinema Grand 200-5 and even though I've only had the Sunfire for a week the Emotiva has a very clear edge over the Sunfire....

And Remember...you can never have too much power!!

Really? Thats the first time I've read a comparative statement like that and I was on the fence between the two brands myself. Thank you for sharing.
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

For your budget and wanting new you are pretty much locked into getting the Emotiva. If I were you I would think about not just looking at the Emotiva but open up your search to used equipment. Just because someone else has owned it does not mean it will not work for you.

Plus there are more and more repair shops poping up. For example if you buy a Sunfire or a Carver amp you can send it back to Bob Carver and Rita Helm for a flat fee of $175 plus shipping and they will get it back to how it was when it was new.
Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t
