Anyone have any favorites or listen to club mix / dance mix music. Naturally, since I DJ in a club, I play quite a bit and got hooked on it.

My big SRS 2.3's cruise through this stuff!
No excuses!

I used to d.j. for a local club back in 89, 90. I also has a mobile service and have a decent collection 12 inch remix. I havn't really had the funds to get into much more collecting of it, but I hope that I can get that kick started again. Are you able to burn any to disc? I would love to have some decent club remix to listen to. I had a friend that I d.jayed with and he has a massive collection, I havn't seen him in a few years to see what he has now he was in some sort of record pool and they used send him some pretty darn good stuff. He used to be good friends with the d.j. at 101 south in daytona beach, they were in the same record pool and man can they both beatmix like nobodys business. I had all of my stuff bpm marked but just didn't have anything to practice on to get the hang of it.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Email me at red50stang@comcast.net and we can talk.

We use mainly X-Mix and Ultimix remixes. I have a few Pro-Mix CD's that have some very good cuts. I also have a good collection of CD singles that have various mixes of the same song.

One of the most popular series we use is the Ultimix "Looking Back" series. It's a CD series of remixes of songs from the 70's and 80's. To be honest, one of the best remixes in that series is the ABBA song "Dancing Queen." I know I know, but you have to hear it! It's very well done!

3 of my personal favorite remixes are:

Fragma : Toca's Miracle (miracle extended remix)
Sonique : It Feels So Good (X-Mix remix)
Nelly Furtado : Turn Off The Lights (X-Mix remix)

How about some Mark Farina? Boo Williams? Circulation? Dubtribe? John Aquaviva? Anything from Naked Music? St. Germain? Thievery Corporation? Om Lounge? Joe Silva?

Is that the one remixed by Timbaland? If so I've got that one on vinyl. :P

You do use vinyl, right? heheh

Since we're having this discussion, I'm selling a TON of my vinyl. I'm not spinning anymore. Not typical club stuff though.

    Check it out here.

If anyone wants a good source of not only club and house music but alot of Philly/New york underground and club D.J. stuff, check this place out:

    The Music Factory

They are down near where my girl lives in Sewell, NJ. I know the owner and he's a great guyu. He can find pretty much anything you are looking for so if you can't find it, he may be able to help you out. He has an email system for requests and he's pretty prompt with a response too.

Just so you guys know, he is on the up and up. His store is known nation wide. I actually had a stack of business cards and while in Hawaii on a business trip, I had a few D.J.s at bars and clubs beg me for a business card because they either lost the number or someone told them to call this place. Same way in California and Texas.

I've been wanting to mix some of my dance traks onto a cd. Anyone have some good software recommendations for mixing .wav files (and MP3)?
