I was just wanting to get an idea of what you rate the best audio equipment would be for some research. I would like people to put what they think are the top 10 speakers and than top 10 AVR if you have time. Thank you.

    Its pretty hard to rate top ten in anything without some criteria. For example, Polk make nice H/T speakers (for the money). I'm sure there are better but you have to spend more money. There is also the subjective nature of what constitutes better. I like the sound of my elite avr but someone else might not give you 10 cents for it as they like the Warm sound of H/K recievers.

    Or maybe you should just tweak it a bit:) Like maybe a top 10 that is $500 or less etc.

    Bose is a product that works great for many people. It just isn't the best for people like us:D Many people enjoy their bose systems, but they are not the type of people you would find on an audio forum usually. Bose is for WAF and not audiophile. That's just my 2cents.:)
