Hey!
A new guy here to this form.
Ive been into music for years but always had just a slightly above average system for most of that time (too many other money magnets).
Im getting a custom subwoofer and a separate amp for it at a really good price, so now it has become time to put together a really great system for audio and home theater. This does not mean Im scrapping everything and starting at square 1, hence my question.
Initially Im focusing on the receiver and speakers. The receiver will be a Denon AVR 2309 or something similar. As for the speakers, I currently have a pair of Polk Monitor 50s that I would like to continue to use. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what speakers (two front and 1 center) would be a good match for them?
I appreciate any and all input.
Thanx

Welcome to Club Polk.
I would suggest spending more on the receiver to get all the bells & whistles that you want it to have. Also make sure it has preouts for future upgrades to get more power via a separate amp.
With the Denon's models they come with the 2809 & up.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
