Hello,
I currently have the Onkyo tx-sr876 and i am going to switch up to 1080p and watch blu rays.
Since i am the process of upgrading and from other advice given on other forums i am wandering if i should continue to use the 3000p powered subs as my LFE or maybe use them as extentions for the fronts and then have 1 or maybe 2 dedicated subs for the LFE. Or not use them at all and get dedicated subs and run them through another amp? Not to sure.
Speaking of amps. Is pairing the Onkyo and Behringer EP2500 be a good choice and would they complement each other if i decide to use the Onkyo for the 3000p fronts, cs400i center, and bookshelf surounds and the Behringer EP2500 for the dedicated sub-woofers.
I want to get the chest pounding bass that i have heard so much from owners of SVS and other sub woofers and want this upgrade to last for years to come.
Thanks

If you already have the Behringer EP2500 a DIY sub is the cheapest route to go to get the most performance.
The Kappa Perfect VQ slot ported sub I had built will give you the performance of the $1500 Ultra PB-13 for a fraction of the price.....if you can handle the relatively large size of the enclosure.
A Maelstrom-X 18" sub in a sealed enclosure or an AE 15" with two 18" PR would also give you excellent results.
