It is about an hour or so from me... If he still has them I may go pick them up. I mean for $15.00 I do not think you can go wrong.

I think they are JR's too. The box looks too narrow to be a 5B.

    Could be wrong though.

Either way its a crazy good price...

I emailed him this morning and have not heard back yet. I would think for that price they would be gone, but you never know.

Definitely 5B's. You can see it on the serial number on the back.

For 15 bucks, you can't go wrong with those. Go for em.

They are SL1000 5Bs. 5Jrs were never fused and have a 6.5" PR, not the 8" PR of the regular 5s.

gaaaah!!! I'm only 45 minutes away! These would make a great find for the Gathering this weekend!

eliminator, I'm assuming you're going to take them if he responds... Best of luck, I won't step on your toes with this one.

I will step aside if you really want them. I was just going to pick them up because they were so cheap, and due to the fact the ex destroyed my right channel SDA 2. So you can go for it.....Best of Luck. Keep me in mind if you happen to come across any SDA's in the future.

No, it's cool, man... you saw 'em first. They're worth way more than $15 if the drivers all work.

Okay, I saw in your original post that you weren't interested. I sent the guy an email. If you want them, he should be getting back to you first, since you contacted first.

He just emailed and said that we grabbed up pretty quickly, but if the deal falls through he will let me know. Like I said they were not what I was looking for, but the more I thought about the price I know you could not go wrong.

They didn't look in the greatest shape anyway... he said the wood was delaminating on the one, and the grills were scratched up. But I bet they'd still sound fantastic. My first pair of Polks was a thrift store pair of 5jr's (the ported ones, no PR). I got that pair for $15, but both tweeters were fried. Scored a set of peerless to replace them, and listened happily for a while before I got my Monitors 10's, and then my SDA 2's.

Undoubedly, somebody snapped them up. The revised link is dead. The Poconos would have made for a nice day trip to pick them up (at $15 you cannot fail with a used Polk, bad component or what) and to tour some within 150 miles of where you may be.
