Due to a bad situation I have a SDA-2 left channel only and the interconnect cable. I am the orginal owner, but the right channel is now part of a land fill, and left has comestic damage. I am just wondering if there is any value or if someone would be interested?

Certainly good for parts, but finding someone with a spare right channel may be tricky at best.
-
Yeah parting it out will be your best bet.
Can you share on exactly what happened to the R one?

Well truth be told, I had an ex go crazy in my house with gasoline. The hazmat people took the speaker and through into a roll off. I swear a tear rolled when I saw it go.

I am also on the look out to another set. I was thinking about upgrading, but to be honest I heard the new LSi 25's and although they were good, I still loved my SDA 2's. So the search begins.....

Was not a fun day to say the least. I still remember the day I bought my set up. Took out my first loan to buy the speakers and equipment. I still own the same Adcom amp, pre amp, HK turntable, Kenwood tuner, Kenwood dual tape deck, and Kenwood Cd player (added a few years later)

Which Adcom did you use to drive them?____________________________________________________________

Dude, that sucks, but it makes a great story. Did ya at least sleep with her sister?
Anyhow, I wouldn't surprised if you recouped a good chunk of buying a used pair by parting them out. There's a good demand for parts as the SDA's get older, so take it as an opportunity.Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19

Ok, since I am here and although I know speakers are such a personal preference, I am still going to ask. At the time I purchased my SDA 2's I could not afford the SDA 1's. I have always wondered what the 1's were like in a home enviroment. Like I said I am looking to upgrade and open to any and all opinions.

Found a $15.00 per of Polks on Cl in the Pocono's. Posted the link in vintage speakers forum.

Where do you live?

Central Pa, a little town called Sunbury.

Well what time does the party start? Also I could sit there and droll on your SDA 2's.

Thank you, I was really leaning towards saving for the SDA 1's. But always nice to have a little reinforcement from people who know.
