carver m-400t magnetic field amplifier vs. ELECTROVOICE SX80 speakers
Looking to know if these two machines are compatible. V. ignorant. Carver runs 200wpc or 500wpc bridged into 8ohms. EV can handle 175 watts continuous or up to 700 watts short term up to 8 hours.
Thanks

Welcome to Club Polk, Blank.
Im not familiar with the EV speakers in question, but I see no reason why you would have any problems.
Remember, no matter the wattage rating of either the amp or speakers, YOU control the volume. So hook em up, and let us know how it sounds.

You got E-V home speakers or E-V commercial/PA jobs?

Looks to be a small commercial/sound reinforcement two-way

As to the Carver M-400t: You might want to keep a fire extinguisher handy. I'm just sayin'...

That match is probably not going to be sonic nirvana bud, but if you're going to do dj stuff with it, once they drink enough it won't matter.
