Clearshield for cars?

Anyone have experience with Clearshield paint protection for their car?
I know there are lots of brands out there for the clear film protection. I've read good things about a local place that uses ClearShield.
Are they worthwhile? I just got a new car so I'm considering having it put on. They do the entire front bumper, front of the hood, side mirrors and part of the front fenders for ~$550 installed. Seems like a pretty good investment as long as the product does what it claims.

You can get this done cheaper. There are many products like this. Granitize (no affil.) is one option. Dealers pay about 100.00 for this to the vendors (most, if not all, dealers sub this out). The markup is huge! I've seen some sold by crazy salespeople for $1500.00!!!!! for something my dealership only paid $100.00 for (actually $96.00). Shop, shop, shop!

Yeah, I imagine the markup was crazy, similar to window tinting.
However, getting a good installer sounds important and I wanted something that was more of a film instead of just some spray/polish/wax.
All of the local car clubs recommend the place for their quality of work and customer service. I definitely don't want some fly-by-night business out of someone's trunk.
I'm also wondering how well the products hold up for extended periods of time. I know I will keep this car past 100k/10years so I want something that won't end up peeling or causing problems later on. -

All paint, clearcoat, sealants peel and have problems over time. Get a good deal on something someone has tried and live with it (enjoy your new car, try not to let something like this bother you). I know its hard because all of us in this forum are kind of crazy about "stuff" in general.:)"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." Neil deGrasse Tyson.
