The amps i am going to replace are ... SPL 480 watt and some 400 watt without a name on it . My reason for replacement is the ground wire on the battery came off and hit the positive terminal and now i am getting a horrible noise through the speakers ( a constant popping noise while the motor is running ) And also a whining noise . The noise only comes through the speakers with the SPL amp on them . So i figured i messed up that amp . I bought the boat used and this stuff was in it . I just replaced the tower and boat speakers .The install looks horrible so i figured i would replace everything and do it right . As far as budget i havent given it any thought .

Also since i have no idea what i am doing . Do i need a 4 channel amp (1 channel for each speaker ) on the wake board tower speakers (4) and a 6 channel for the 6 in boat speakers ?
