Is 350.00 a good price for SDA CRS?

Thanks in advance!

Do they come with the stands?

I sold my CRS+ for $400 without the stands.

With stands, original boxes and interconnect. I can probably get them for $300.00 with local pickup.

I would take them, but see if 250 cash will get the job done when you get there. I think you could find the larger sda's for about the same 350... let the seller know that and you might save a bit. Then call Domino's and send me a pizza!

I think that is a good deal. Those stands are hard to come by. Buy them.

congrats man!!! SDA ownership is a rewarding experience but it is a slippery slope from here, as you will find the need to go big or go home soon enough. The silver lining in that is its a great ride to the top.

Grab 'em. I sold mine a while ago but I didn't have the stands. I've since upgraded to 2B's and then to 1C's. They're amazing little speakers. I've never heard them with crossover upgrades, they should be great. Crossover is the same as the 2B, so well documented on what do. Do the TL upgrade and get the RD-0198's.

Big Dawg just bought my modded 2B's, which are essentially the same speaker in a bigger cabinet. Ask him how they sound after the mods......
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I'm now accepting donations (paypal accepted) for the upgrade;). Hey Big Dawg, how was your upgrade?

    Gents,

Here are the pics of the CRS + pair I picked up today. Actually the seller drove from Redondo Beach to DELIVER these (they barely fit in his convertible hardtop 2 seater Mercedez). He just had a custom Home Theatre installed and no longer needed them. He said his brother is going to be pissed when he finds out he sold them.:)

They came with the stands, spikes, original boxes, interconnect, manual, addendum to manual and two extra drivers. He even threw in a set of speaker cables.

He also has a Rotel RC 1070 pre for sale for $375.00. I don't know if this is a good deal or not. Any ideas?

I have not heard my new speakers (or any other SDA's) yet as I'm not sure if my amps are common ground. They are: Parasound HCA 2200ii, Halo A23, Marantz MA700's and 500's. Which, if any, of these can I, should I use? Forgive these basic questions but I don't know "S" about SDA's.

    Thanks in advance.

Congrats on your "new" SDA's...The Parasound and Halo gear should be common ground.

I can't say for sure about the Marantz amps.

Save your pennies and perform the TL upgrade in the future...the difference is not subtle by any means.

They look real nice, job well done! Just be certain all wires/cables are connected correctly when hooking them up. You could check with the manufactures to be sure the amps are common ground.

Congrats!!! I talked to the seller a couple weeks back when I was going to buy them and found out they were purchased a couple blocks from my house.

Any upgrades in the near future?

A couple of blocks from your house? Where do you live? I'm in Los Angeles.

Yes. I feel it is my duty to upgrade these babies.

I'm listening to some killer guitar right now (Strunz & Farah Heat of the Sun). These things are amazing! I have them hooked up to my Yammie 663 using pure direct with the Parasound HCA 2200ii right now and they sound great. I'm digging out the Nak CA-5 as we speak.

I can't wait to hear the upgraded version of these. Looks like I may be selling some stuff (maybe my LSi 9's and 7's?) and a few amps to invest in the upgrade and another set of SDA's.

I don't have much experience with a soldering iron but I do have plenty of time on my hands as I was just laid off my job as a GM service manager.:(

Should I try the upgrade myself or maybe pay to have it done? I don't know, for now I'm going to listen to these with various amp/cd player/pre-amp/turntable configurations to get to know them better.:D

The best way to learn about your sda speakers is to get inside their guts.
If you're a hands on kind of guy you should do ok with a soldering gun.
