Cables subsection?

Think we should have a dedicated section for cables? That way cable discussions can stay in there, any people who think all cables are snake oil can stay out?

I only ask, because I got the AQ type 4's on loan and wanted to make a few observations outside of the offical swap thread.

    Audiokarma has something similar, but I don't see that happening here.

    Just because you make a separate section for cables does not mean that people who do not believe they make a difference would refrain from posting. I don't see adding one changing anything.

    Well okay. Where should I post my thoughts then? They're not specifically 2ch, they're not vintage, do they just go to the electronics section???

    I agree there should be a subsection. Right now, the most reasonable place would be "basic wiring," which I'd imagine those cables are anything but...

    Since cables move electrons, electronics would seem to be the logical section.

    Since the original thread is in 2 Channel Audio it would make sense to make a new thread in that section.

    perhaps a special 'my wires are better that your wires' handshake/password might be appropriate before allowing entry to the thread. In this manner we can keep the rifraff out. I am a believer in their performance, but cannot afford them...

    You post it in either Basic Hookup/Wiring Questions or 2 Channel Audio. Both would be applicable.

    Other sections or subsections have been suggested before and they pretty much get shot down right away....

    Nothing wrong with posting anywhere. I normally expect to see stuff about wire and cables in the 2ch section but thats just me.
