Ok people i have a dodge 1500 ext cab truck and i currently have two kicker 10s comp vr 2 ohms under my rear seats in a sealed box and running them is my kenwood 1000 amp... the sound is nice a clean but i am looking for more loudness lol, while using kinda my same setup i heard ported bandpass boxes can help bring out the bass... Can anyone help me or have tips i want more for less money as possible so do you think setting the subs ina ported bandpass enclosure ontop of my rear seat would make the sound louder??? thanks..

louder? Depends on the tuning. If you buy a prefab bandpass, you hate your subs and want them dead. Putting it on the back seat? Seriously? Any idea how ghetto that'd look?

Sealed almost ALWAYS give a better overal response & much tighter sound than bandpass, but bandpass CAN give your more SPL....

you're using a blanket statement there for most bandpass boxes. Technically, if you properly tune a bandpass, it will have the overall best and flattest sound possible, but it's a lot of work and a lot more enclosure. Best sounding boxes i've ever heard have always been a tuned bandpass... but you can always tune/EQ a sealed and get award winning sound.
