Still impressed with the vintage Nikko amp!

I don't know what it is with this Nikko Alpha VI amp, (300w dual mono design) but boy oh boy do I ever enjoy it's musicality. It just seems to do it all right...balls to the wall with power, & nothing at all harsh or those SS attributes about it. It's very warm sounding & rather suductive (if you can explain an amp like that). I guess for now the Mac MC402 will have to wait till this baby putters out. After all it is original from 1980 but you'd never know it (I'm told it was actually manuf by Luxman for Nikko). If something does go on it I don't even know if I could get it repaired. Hopefully it'll keep on going for another 29yrs!!!

I guess we are as well.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
