Did they give me the right amp for my subs?

I just got back from 901 sounds. I got some Kicker l7 12s and a JVC Arsenal KS-AR7501D Amp. I don't know much about subs so I read up on this amp when I got home and it says its max output is 1200 watts but my kickers have a 1500 watt rating. Also, the guy told me not to adjust the gains untill a few says to let the subs break in is this really necessary? Thanks.

You can't pay a whole lot of attention to how many watts a car amp says it has. I had an autotek 66 back in the day that said it had 66 watts, and it put out over 200. You could buy an orion 50 watt amp back then that would put out 1500 watts. Or you could go and buy a 1000 watt jensen amp and only get 100 watts. I imagine your amp will work fine with those kickers.

You might want to post in the car audio section though. I've been out of car stereos for almost 15 years. Someone else might actually be familiar with that amo in the car audio section.

Also, how do I get my car door speakers to play louder. I'm hearing a lot of bass from my subs but not much music. Thanks.
