Other than 40 bucks, what's the difference?

Thanks,
Randy

If you want, I have a cherry CS2, which will match nicely with the Monitor 70s. I would make you a good deal on it if you are interested.

Agreed the CS2 would be better in that set up. Plus you could use more power than the H/K puts out though they sound nice with Ms.

Ugh...Decisions. The CS2 looks really big. But since speakers are now my latest addition to me decore (Bose was hid...) maybe I will go with the CS2. But, I'm using black.

    Thanks Guys,

PSW505 nice mid-level sub! I run the equivalent Boston A. with my Ms...the Boston hits just a bit lower.

Enjoy your system...H/K 354 nice match for your system and it has pre-outs....

I am with cnh on this one, get the CS2 (CS20) the CS1 (CS10) will struggle to keep up with the 70's. I don't remember the exact number, but something like 75% of dialoge comes from your center channel in movies and you don't want to skimp on that speaker. You are building pretty much the same setup I have (minus the sub) and I would def. spring for the CS2 (CS20) The CS10 technically speaking was designed for the TSi line yes, but it is pretty much the same speaker as the CS1 except it has a gloss finish, same story with the CS2 and the CS20. The specs. are pretty much identical so no big deal getting the CS10 or CS20. I would recommend the CS20 or CS2 if you can find it. Buy.com and J&R audio have the CS2 in black for $165 shipped.
    HT Rig
    Receiver- Onkyo TX-SR806
    Mains- Polk Audio Monitor 70
    Center- Polk Audio CS2
Surrounds- Polk Audio TSi 500's :D
    Sub- Polk Audio PSW125
    Retired- Polk Audio Monitor 40's
    T.V.- 60" Sony SXRD KDS-60A2000 LCoS
    Blu-Ray- 80 GB PS3

    2 CH rig (in progress)
    Polk Audio Monitor 10A's

You can get the CS2 for a much better price if you're patient I bet, but I know that's hard to do. I got mine for $109 plus free shipping from Newegg.com, so that's a big difference from $165. Center channel is very important though and it's hard to wait out a good price when you don't have a center channel in the meantime. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Front - Polk Audio Monitor 70
    Center - Polk Audio CS2
Rear - Polk Audio TSi 100
    Sub - Klipsch rw-10d
    AVR - Onkyo ht-rc180
    Main Amp- Parasound HCA-2003
    Surround Amp- Sonance Sonamp 260
    Tuner- Parasound tdq-1600
Turntable- Pro-ject Debut III USB w/upgraded platter
    IPod dock - Pure i20
    TV - Panasonic Viera tc-p46g10
    Sony Playstation 3(250GB)
    Nintendo Wii
    Power Conditioner- Panamax 5100

    Not in use-

The CS2 (CS20)? Good job, gotta love the Egg. You will not be dissapointed in the CS2 (CS20), and if you had gotten the CS1 (CS10) you would have always wondered..... what if, lol.

The actual match is the CSM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290125&nm_mc=KNC-YahooSSP&cm_mmc=KNC-YahooSSP-_-Home+Audio+Speakers-_-Polk+Audio-_-82290125) (50.oo on newegg) or newer CSR but I don't see why the CS1 or 2 would be terribly different. If anything, it's a better speaker with a 1" instead of a 3/4" dome. A slightly better dome! That's similar.

Thanks cnh, since I upgraded my AVR i think the weakness of the Cerwin Vega center is starting to show. CS1 or 2 it is.
