Friday will be my 26th wedding anniversary and I'm trying to decide what to get my wife.......do I get a nice piece of jewlery (since we were robbed 2 years ago and most of the good stuff was taken) or do I get a Harmony 1 remote control so she can use the home theater without calling me every time she watches a DVD.

I'm open to suggestions

BTW. she never complains when I buy amplifiers, or speakers, or wires......what a GREAT wife!!

Thanks
Jimmy

I'm with bruss. Maybe a nice bracelet or necklace wrapped around the remote. Make sure you keep it in the original remote packaging for full effect!
I know just enough to be dangerous, but don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm a genius. :D

Forget the remote for now and get her the pretty sparkly stuff women love. Wait a month and then get the remote.

    Trust me...forget the remote!

It would be like getting her a variable speed drill so she doesn't have to use a screwdriver.

If you want to see 27...get the jewelery!

Take her to Vegas for a week, get a suite at the Venitian. Make it a total surprise. She deserves it.

My wife gives me ZERO grief about my many hobbies, and even tries to act interested in them when I'm geeking out about them; so every opportunity I get I thank her for it by doing things like Vegas escapes, trips to places as a surprise, etc.

Get her the remote, and then try to keep it in the divorce settlement.

    Or, get her something sparkly.

amen to that.........surprised mine last year with a nice vacation to The Caymans, and yes I put off buying any audio stuff months in advance to plan for it...thought the wife was a bit more important to give her something special as mine also has never made a peep about of my hobbies and between the Jeep and bringing home speakers taller than she is, she deserves something special every year.....

in closing forge tthe remote and treat her like a queen with something special

you could get her the remote as a bit of a gag gift... then give her the good stuff. My grandfather bought my grandmother a new washer/drier for their 30th anniversary. She was happy because she was still using an old wringer washer and hanging stuff outside to dry at that time, but she was not at all pleased. Then he showed her the tickets to Hawaii. While in Hawaii he married her again and presented her a diamond necklace and matching earings. They were like newlyweds for the rest of their days together.

    That's a nice story.

We've been to Hawaii and she liked it, but she really wants to see Alaska.....maybe in a few years I still have one more to put thru college.

I like the idea of the remote as a gag gift!!!....and she does have a fantastic sense of humor...Hmmm

    Hey John,

How are you going to pay for your gear if you do that? Just kidding!

Sounds nice, sweet even. I've only got 17 years coming up...but I married late.
