RTi A3 as computer speakers?

I saw a review for the RTi A1 today. That got me thinking that these (or the RTi A3) would make great computer speakers. I'm not all into the thump thump, so I think I could get by without a sub.

I assume I would need a simple two-channel amp to drive these? Any suggestions? All I'd need is one input and a L/R out. I'd be playing compressed audio.

I'm seeing an Onkyo M-282 2-Channel Power Amplifier on Amazon for $294. With a couple of RTi A3s, that might make for a good computer speaker setup. Any thoughts?

I'm also seeing the SurroundBar SDA on the Polk site. Looks interesting. I wonder how that would compare with the Onkyo/RTi A3 setup mentioned above?

Be aware of how big these speakers are...make sure you've got the room for them. 14 3/4" high, 8 7/16" wide and 14" deep. They're a lot bigger than they look in the pictures.

+1 on what Curt is saying but I imagine they would make fine computer speakers. A friend of mine has a pair of JBL 4311's as computer speakers and they are much bigger than A3's.

I would take that as an insult to the A3. Around these parts, budweiser is considered to be pretty lame beer.

x2 on that. Budweiser is the cheap **** beer that I buy when I'm short on cash.
