i know they arent name brand... but for the price.... can't beat it.... but i will also need a box for the sub....
so theres the possibility of going with the deal at crutchfield

and if i buy two... i get a free box for them.
but in the near future...[for a grad present] i am getting my girl a sub and amp. would i be able to do some changes to that box to separate it into two boxes? or am i crazy? i thank you guys in advance for the help!

Welcome to the forum. We have a 'car audio' section, towards the bottom of the main page. You would be better off re-posting there.:)

I did car audio for a long time and you would do better if you went with the MTX's, they are much better subs and they will sound better. Not only that but you will be able to push them with more, a nice 200W mono amp or a 400x2 is all you need. I would get an MTX and have someone that knows what they are doing hook them up (not says they know what they are doing, really knows). They won't rock the block but they will sound very good. The Clarion's are good, just make sure you pair these speakers with something that's not Sony (they are horrible for car audio).

Don't cut the box in half...bad idea.
