DVD Authoring Software

I'm looking for a good, inexpensive dvd authoring program. I don't need anything super high end. All I want to do is be able to take photos and put a dvd together with music and have some control over menu options and letting people choose between sets of photos.
Something like DVD Maker in Windows Vista, but with a bit more flexibility in letting me create menu options for various groups of photos.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Have you looked at Movie Studio Plus? It's not cheap [got mine for $200] but it will do what you said you want and then some. You could probably find it online a lot cheaper.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Ooops. My apologies. It's called Studio Movie Board Plus and it's made by Pinnacle.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I've used Roxio Easy Media Creator and while it's not perfect, it does a pretty good job. It should be in your price range.Speakers: Polk LSi15

I've use Roxio and it's OK...if you want to do entry level stuff which sounds like it. I've recently been messing around with video conversion software and I can't tell you how incredibly complex and confounding some of that stuff...talk about a zillion formats....holy Batman! You can waste weekends trying to figure out what can compress this or that and what can unpack this and that. It's really a crying shame and a spectacular waste of time unless you're a member of nerds-are-us!

I found the Sony DVD Architect Studio on that page, I'll give it a try. I was really hoping for something that's as simple to use as Windows DVD Maker. Hell, if Windows DVD Maker would just give me the ability to make my own chapters it would be everything I need and nothing more...

I use TMPGEnc 3, very advanced features, also great for creating Divx files, and Blu-Ray. It was $69, when I got it, version 4 is $99, but you get a $20 Amzon gift card. There is a free trial version too.
