I was going through my stash of tubes and decided to check on a couple just in case I decided to replace them, as I am using them in my CDP and other units.....
I found that my Ei tubes are out of stock everywhere I looked, and were not going to be available in the near foreseeable future..
They even cost more than I remembered !!
Seems I ave a fairly good stash of tubes !!
I even have some that I don`t know what they are, or how I got them !!
Must be the stroke !!!!!
Maybe I should keep looking.....
What does your "stash" of cool tubes consist of ?

Ei is out of business. Western Electric purchased their machines. That was a few years ago and we still haven't seen anything new come out of WE. Hopefully that will happen soon because the Ei 6DJ8 and X7 are copies of some great classics. The 6DJ8 is a copy of the A frame Amperex and the X7 is a copy of the Tele smooth plate made on the same machine as Tele.
Off the top of my head the cool ones in my stash would be...
A bunch of A-frame, disc getter and several types of 6DJ8 from Amperex
A few different Mullard 6DJ8's
Telefunken smooth plate
Siemens CCA (VERY rare and $$$)
Bugle Boy Amperex
A lifetime supply of Sylvania 7199. I have regular, export versions and even a pair of mint very early prodcution with original boxes.
That's all I could think of for now. I'm sure there are a lot more special ones in my collection. -
Either of you have any Amperex 7119's lying around?

No sorry. I don't have any gear with those tubes. Did you try ebay?
