I'm not sure whether another reciever would interest you but I know someone who is selling a very nice reciever in 10/10 condition. If HDMI is not an issue then I would highly recommend this particular reciever. The following is a link to a review;

Thanks for the link, but I am specifically looking for the VSX-1018.

I have Hsu HB-1 mk. 2 speakers, and this particular receiver is what Hsu uses in their showroom, and recommends for these speakers.

I did some reading on your speakers and they sound nice. No idea why they recommend that particular reciever over any other. Perhaps they sell them, I don't know but others have used different amplification with great results. Here is a link where someone used different amplification.

Any Pioneer Elite will give you equal or better sound than the 1018. So you might want to consider looking at those too.

Tim (Reno) is right...other receivers can sound just as good as that 1018 and some even 'better'! For example your higher level Elites will give you better sound if you like Pioneer.

And the new Pioneer Elite ICE-power amps are hard to beat! Take a look at the ICE-club on this site. You might think about becoming a member?

VSX-1018AH is the same receiver as Elite VSX-01TXH, minus some minor features, and a couple hundred bucks less. So for a budget-minded person it should be a great deal.
