I'm excited to announce that I am the new owner of a pair of Monitor 10Bs in Dark Walnut! They're in incredible shape for their age (even better than my 7s) and came with what I believe to be the factory matching stands. Perhaps someone can confirm when I post photos...

For those of you who search "Polk" in the electronics section of Craigslist every day (I KNOW I'm not the only one who does this) I suggest you search under "garage sales" as well! That's where I nabbed these babies. Pics to come. :D

Oh no! now I have one more place to search for Polk :)

Congrats on the purchase, the 10Bs are awesome. I got mine without the stands and I am sure they sound even better off the floor and with the right tilt. Those stands are difficult to come by.

Nice score, I search "speakers" in the electronics section almost daily. Thanks for the tip on the garage sale section as well.

Definitely the darkest finish I've seen on the Monitor series before... but I like it!

After a few hours of listening and comparing to my Monitor 7s, I definitely prefer the RDO194s. These tweeters feel so harsh in comparison--I'll be swapping them out later this afternoon.
That being said, I feel there is a noticeable difference in low-end extension. These cabinets are considerably larger... I turned the bass gain down immediately, and it STILL feels more substantial than my 7s. This isn't the first time I've owned 10s and 7s at the same time, but every comparison tenures my ears a little more. What a great hobby...

Instead of starting a new thread, figured I could tag onto the original purchase...

I can't believe the size difference! Can't wait to hear them in action.

Wouldn't you just search "polk" in "all for sale"? That searcheds the garage sale part too.

Yeah, but in Minnesota there's a "Polk county" and a few "Polk Street"s, so I get a bunch of bogus results. Still get a few in electronics/garage sales, but not quite as many.

Yep same problem here with Polk County.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
