VTL MB-125 monoblocks for my SRS 1.2

Hello everyone. I am pretty close to buying a pair of the VTL 125 tube monoblocks to run my SRS speakers.

My question is, anyone have experince with these? The lady from VTL said that these would not work for my SRS 1.2, but she did not really seem to know the speakers either.

Also, if these will not work, can anyone recommend a pair of monoblock tube amps in the less than 2K used dollar range that may work or they have had experience with?

You'll need an a1-a IC, or be able to strap the grounds on the MB's

VTL and Polk SDA's sound exquisite,, you will need to use/should use the non common ground interface cable,I would suggest that you read DK's "dreadnought"nthread and build one or have someone build it for you,IIRC Ben makes em. I have a pair of VTL compact 100's and have pushed SDA 2.3tl's and 1C's with them,, pretty fine. Just my .02 worth,,good luck.

Thanks for the input, I am just considering the fact that maybe the MB125s may not be enough for the 1.2s....that is my only concern, in that case I need another 6 months to save and get the next up which I think are the 250s.

125 tube watts should be respectable,, I've got 40 tube watts on my 1C's,,and it's plenty.

fair enough, the next step up is about 1500 more and i don't think i can pull that off, especially after an XO upgrade and 8 rdo198s!!!

one day you will upgrade your amp to the bigger one, its inevitable. Anyway, in the mean time they will sound good with 125 as that is still alot of power, excellent actually.
