Was at an estate sale this weekend and noticed this table in a corner of a barn covered in an inch of dirt and dust. Asked the owner about it and he told me it had been in the barn since his Dad passed 20 years ago. Upon looking it over asked if he would take $100 for it...he did...and I ended up with a killar 250# plus slab mahoganey table with driftwood base...his Dad had it custom made over 60 years ago......took it home cleaned it up, waxed and feed it, and in the livin room it went...........

I used to make tables like that. Using most any exotic woods we would fashion the top from a slab of the tree trunk then make legs from limbs. Fasten everything together, then disassemble it all and coat with a product called Ultra-Glo. A 2 part epoxy resin the sealed and protected the wood. You would get a finish that looked 2" deep and you could smack the top with a hammer. It would leave a dent but the dent would be gone in a matter of hours. Using woods like Swamp Maple, Cypress, Burled Walnut and anything that looked cool.

Non audio? It would make a very solid speaker stand. Just get 187CAM to make you one more for a pair!

You can't get more redneck than a table like that.....awesome. Now you need a matching clock.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
