Folks,
From your experience / opinions welcome, what should be the minimum distance between your back wall and side wall should a large speaker like this be placed?

My current plan calls for 16" from the side wall and 16" from the back wall (these specs are measured from the closest corner of the speaker to the walls due they are angled in toward the listening position)

Thoughts from the experts....

Thanks...I had a feeling I was too close. How much would a trap in the corner help if I had to go w/ the 16"?

I would think 16" is too close as well, but I think your seating location and what the room is doing will be what tells you the best location. Experiment, experiment , experiment.

The speaker near the corner has always sound too loud or "boomy" compared to the other. I can bring all the speakers over another 16" and re-center the setup, which will give me 32" from the side wall. Thanks for the feedback...
