RTi100 without using internal powered amps?

Hi, I have a pair of RTi100's that I am thinking about using for front HT speakers. Can the internal subwoofers be powered from my harman kardon AVR 635 instead of the internal powered amps? And if so, is that a good idea and would it sound better?
