The price of OEM replacement woofers for the Carver Amazing Loudspeakers just went up. I don't mean by a couple of dollars either. Check out the link to Dynavox>>> http://www.dynavox.com/products_new.php

They used to be around 35 smackers each to your door [SW-1220FL for Originals and WP-1220 for Plat's and Silver's]. At least you can still get them but the cost to re-do all of your Amazing woofers just went up considerably to $89.99 each. So instead of a complete re-do of woofers for around $280.00, the new price is $720.00 and I'm not sure about any additional shipping costs.

I've got 8 of them ( Honeycomb original version ) that are about 3 years old ( Basically new ) in my Amazings. One of the ribbons is hosed and the other 3 are fine....and I cant give them away here in the Bay area.

I have scored MINT 1.2's...2.3's...800i's...2b's...Carver 7t's...etc on craigslist...hell I even scored a MINT SRT system the old fashioned way by talking to a little old lady whose husband had died.....but these Amazings have been my only pain in the **** yet.

Anybody local want some valuble spares or just spend 215 bucks and get the one ribbon repaired and have a working set of Amazings ?

    100 bucks....come and get em.....

Azi, The ribbons a piece of cake...as a matter of fact its out already...I was planning on sending it to Dave to have it rebuilt but then had my shoulder surgery a couple of weeks ago and just need them out of my friends house...they havent said anything to me but those suckers are huge and taking up a lot of room.

I have all manuals as well...paper and pdf's...owners and repair...the whole enchilada.

Luckily my other friend with my SRT's ( On the same golf course Azi :) ) is actually using them, so he is in no rush for me to go get them :D
