PSW111 & T15 speaker set up

Hi,

I am in the process of putting together my home system and i have connected my speakers T15's to a Harmon Kardon 155 which were originally set to Large on amp which to be honest sounded great but just not enough Bass. So i purchased PSW 111 and connected this via LFE to sub out on Amp and changed settings on Amp accordingly (small speakers and sub on) but i don't think i'm getting great Bass. Could anyone advise on a good setting for these or anything i may be doing wrong.....

Thanks

And this is the problem........after reading the instructions for amplifier again i may not of correctly configured it for LFE on the amp. Are you saying i should be setting the frequency on the Sub or the Amp?

After connecting the sub to the LFE and making the changes in the amp for speakers=small and sub=on did you actually re-run the calibration?

If you did not, it could be that the amp still thinks there is no sub connected from your first setup with just the fronts=large. Even if you set the sub=on, you may not get sound from the sub until you re-run the autocalibration.

If you are getting sound from the sub - I would still re-run the autocalibration with speakers=small and LFE/Bass=sub and if possible, select "skip" for any speaker size checking by the amp.

Make sure that the cable from your amp is connected to the LFE input on the sub, that your volume is first about half way, and just to make sure, turn the frequency xover on the sub all the way up.

Re-run the autocalibration and the amp should then be able to better match the sub levels with your fronts.

After that it is a matter of playing with crossover frequency and sub volume to get where you want to be.

Don't forget though that sub placement and room acoustics can also effect your sub happiness. You may also have to play around with where you sub is placed if it is in a dead zone.

    Enjoy the journey...:D

Ok on your setup i would set the Sub Low Pass Knob to LFE and since you have the T15's as your fronts make sure amp i set to Small and Put the XO at 100 or 120. Play around with and see which sounds better. If you need help with that check your manuals.
