I am aware of the SDA 2B and CRS TL upgrades, but I thought I read/heard somewhere on this forum about TL upgrades for other SDA series speakers.Did I just totally miss something?Could someone "in the know" please confirm or deny this, please. I am about to perform one of my last two upgrades to my 1C's (RDO 194 replacement)and if this is something that can be done to enhance other SDA's (crossover mod) to allow the use of the RDO198,,,then please educate me. Thanks in advance.

The 1.2 to 1.2TL mod is the only one I have going now. Another Polkie did his upgrade on 1C's, and I don't doubt the outcome, but it can not be a proven proper upgrade without running some serious test. The Problem with the 1C's is there was never a 2500-3000 tweeter option to mimic the XO's. What I am doing is not reengineering the XO's but copying a proven design. We'll talk soon George.

It doesn't appear that difficult. It's possible that all one would have to do is add the 2.7ohm/5.8uf contour circuit to the HF section, then adjust the values of the resistors before the tweeters. I may look into this when I'm done with my two current projects.

I'd also like to look into adding a BSC(baffle step compensation) circuit, that would allow us to move them further away from the wall without a loss in bass response only at the expense of losing a few dB of efficiency.

Yep. The 1C's run one tweeter at full range(the top), and the bottom one is rolled off. The two 7.5's need to be reduced by about 2ohms to keep the impeadance correct.
