I (think) that they're either 1Bs or 1Cs in the studio version because I have 1As that have the tweeters side by side. I gave $265 for mine and have no regrets. If I were still looking for SDAs, I'd probably pay $300-$400 for those if they're in really good shape w/cable. I actually prefer that cabinet style over the other "slab" ones. An expert might post which model they actually are and......tell you the price is too high. IMO $400 is cheap for getting into the incredible SDA experience and $400 won't buy you much in the way of new speakers. If the cable is missing, that could be a good bargaining point for a lower price and one can be bought from Polk or made up at home DIY. Also, if those are like mine, they have very nice walnut veneer instead of fake vinyl stick-on crap.:)

gdb do you use both tweeters on your 1A's or did you disconnect the dimensional one? I have been trying to decide for a couple a day's which I like better, and I like both, can't make a decision.

I believe the SDA 1C's in studio version are black. That is the set I own. They do look to be SDA 1C's in good shape. They are heavier than my black studio versions. They are worth the four hundred, especially when you factor in, you don't have to ship them. They are excellent speakers. Grab them if you want to get into SDA's. That particular model is highly sought after.

SDA 1B's. $400 would be an ok price if in perfect condition and a different economy. Right now, I wouldn't give over $300. Of course there are buyers for every price.

agreed.. $400 is a bit much for those.. if they were 1C's. then that would be a really good deal. but they appear to be 1B's.

But it looks like a non-Polk driver. Practice caution before commiting to these.
