I purchased some SDA 2.3tl speakers and I want to redo or replace the end caps. They are particle board with wood veneer. Whats the best and easiest way to make them look like new again. I went to LOWE's , MENARDS, and HOME DEPOT thinking i could go and pick up a 1"x 14"(w) x 10(ft) piece of solid oak but no one sells it in 14 inches wide.

I found a place that sells 5/4" x 8" x 16' in soild oak. Would it look ok and be as strong having two pieces make up each end cap and will I have to worry about it seperating over time.

What's my options?

Thanks

Sal has that exotic ****.:D Tried calling the place he got his from and the only thing they had that was 15" wide was $1300. I asked about the PADAUK Sal used and they don't have it that wide.

There's a couple dings that have the partical board showing. Don't know if they make any wood putty thats sandable and stainable. If they did I could patch acouple of the dings and sand and restain.
