Today was such a nice day here in Colorado. Childrens Hospital had their summer transplant picnic today, my daughter had a great time. for those of you that don't know my daughter had a heart transplant when she was 7 days old, she is 13 now:D. they gave her 12 years after the transplant, so she is beating the odds. she has had a couple of scary rejections but all turned out well. anyway just seeing her having a great time today and watching her grow up is a blessing.

Just thought i would share my day,I am so happy for her she is our angel.

Larry.

That is awesome, Larry. Nothing like the love of a child that has been given a second chance.

My first son was a premie. 4 1/2 lbs at birth and 3 months in NICU.
He's now 14 and 5'10" and driving me nuts.
Tip O' the Hat to you and yours.

Thanks guys, you can have the worst of days come home and she has a way of making everything else seem not that important.

I'm very happy to hear about your daughter. My dad had a kidney transplant 13 years ago and is doing great. This just shows all of us how important organ donation is. I know that it's a very personal decision, but by being an organ donor you can help/save so many lives!

Agreed, my sister gave someone sight that was blind after her passing.
Glad to hear you dad is doing great, 13 years ago must have been a great year for transplants.;)

Lucky 13 right? I'm sure you have had a rough go of it sometimes, but it's all worth it now.

This is the reason I'm an organ donor. If I'm dead I certainly don't need anything and if it can save someone else then it's definitely worth it.

    Congrats to your daughter!!
