Is it wise to plug a power conditioner into a voltage converter?

I have decided to go the ICE road and purchase a Pioneer SC-05:D for my HT rig. As many of you know and can see I live in Germany when I'm not "fighting the good fight" and I don't think Pioneer makes an SC-05 with dual voltage. My issue, which I think is a big problem, is that I have my heart set on this receiver now (especially since I can get it for under a grand, shipped to Germany from Amazon) and it only does 110VDC:mad:. I really don't know if I really need a power conditioner or not but I decided to go the safe route and get one anyway since this is a beast of a unit but if I do get this receiver then I have to get a voltage converter.

Can I plug the Elite into a conditioner then to the converter then into the wall?

Can I just use the Elite and plug it into the converter then into the wall?

Should I just get a European model HK or Denon for around $1000?

Decisions...decisions..............

    Update:

If I do decide to purchase a European model receiver my choices are pretty slim...

    Onkyo TXSR806
    Denon AVR2809
    Pioneer VSX1018

What do you guys think...I am not home to listen to any of these and havenot been active in HT rigs for the last 4-5 years.
