12v trigger

trying to get trigger to power up my amp. the avr manual saise to name the input to assign the trigger. going into the input select options it only gives options for bd, tv, componant, s-video and a few others. nothing that indicates the pre-outs, which is the only connection to the amp. can't get the 12v trigger goin with the amp, it must be the avr setting that I can't figure out. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? thanks

    going into the avr input selects for the trigger control, there are labels for 4 different options. main , zone 2, zone 3 and off. What confused me is the sub labels for each one- dvr,cd ,ect.. I knew I was only dealing with "main" so I just started turning on all the sub labels that I'm using now, and in the future to main and- what do ya know- my amp instantly turned on :) I'm a rookie, but its a fun ride

    btw, Sand, just noticed your in rochester- don't sappose your a fisherman? I drive up to rochester every year for the salmon run. Gennesee river- world class fishing!
