hey polkies whats this new prologicIIz all about and also dts express here we go with new surround formats to get us to go buy these avr,s again what is the new format all about , and also it boasts 7.2 with adding second subwoofer would that shake your house and loosin tile and shatter windows LOL! please somebody enlightin us

    im looking to upgrade and use power amps for my home theater but whats the differance with a power amp and a pre amp would a pre -work to power speakers or is for somthinfg else??

    A pre amp is the controller. The amp is the power. Sometimes they have them combined though as well. (as in a receiver) If you are looking for HT get whats called A Pre Processor and a separate multichannel amp OR a receiver with Pre Outs for a separate external amplifier.
