Just got them in a few hours ago and the sound improvement is apparent! Not that big of a deal I just felt like sharing.:) Before and after.

When I did mine I noticed a diff too! Next step is to get a "Dreadnaught" for your interconnect. That does make a audio improvement!

I didn't read through all your posts. How are you powering the 2.3s?

I'll just throw this out......sell both and buy something that will do justice to the SDA's.

What would you recommend in the $1500 and below price range?

They sound fine, not all of us have unlimited funds to spend, or have to keep up with the Joneses

Ok, I'll throw a few suggestions out, used of course.

    SS amps:

    Threshold SA300 or 350

    McCormack DNA-125 or 225

    Plinius sa-100 mkiii

    Musical Fidelity A5cr or 308cr

    BAT VK-200 or 220

    Some tube amps with balls:

    Cary Audio V12

    VTL compact 100 monos

    Manley 100 monos

    Sonic Frontiers Power 2

    VTL MB-125

They sound fine, not all of us have unlimited funds to spend, or have to keep up with the Joneses

None of the above suggestions require unlimited funds and it has nothing to do with keeping up with the Jones'. It has to do with getting better sound from your system by better level matching of the gear.
